The homeowners wished to increase the livable space in this renovated older home. The movers worked together with the contractors to remove the old crumbling basement so a new one could be built underneath.

It's easy to see how foundation construction has changed over the years. The photo above shows a corner of the homes old stone foundation being removed to make way for a support beam. |

Each section of the home is carefully supported throughout each phase to prevent any damage to the structure of the house. Safety is also a top priority for Spencer Heavy Movers. |

With one side completed and supported the demolition crew makes their way under the adjacent wing of the home. |

A beam is slid into position and several crossmembers are added. The remaining basement structure can now be removed. |

The footings have been poured and the blocks are ready to be laid into place by the contractors. |

The waterproofing has been applied and an up to date drain tile system can also be installed to eliminate common water problems of old cracking basements. |

Now that the home is sitting firmly on it's new foundation. The beams are removed and the foundation can be backfilled. |
